Traditional Owners in the Borroloola region have established this corporation to provide representation for the whole community and to oversee and manage benefits from development of ourtraditional land. GYGM is active in business opportunities, community projects and assistance to our community.

With the support of the community, GYGM is set to play a crucial role in the future of Borroloola and surrounding region. GYGM changes the way that community engagement is done in the Borroloola region. By establishing our own organisation, we are better prepared to deal with mining, government and other stakeholders on a more level playing field. We ask everyone to meet with us through our governance structure and through our community organisation.

By establishing our corporation on a firm cultural foundation, GYGM is dedicated to respecting and supporting the authority of cultural leaders based on our traditional law and custom. Borroloola is a traditional cultural community respecting Aboriginal law first and foremost and GYGM is the voice of our culture.

This is a new way of doing business in accordance with Aboriginal law and Borroloola is leading the way.
